hola. another week, another question!

does your phone make your life worse? are you addicted to it? why do phones improve/worsen lives, or why does it do either for you personally speaking?

personally, yeah. i think my phone, esp the internet, only hurts me long term. i think with my phone because it's so easy to access there's no intentionality behind it. i work so my computer is way more intentional when i do finally have the time. my phone is with me during my breaks. etc

It will depends of the apps you're using and how it's used.

For example social medias is a mega brain rot for everybody, lot of people are addicted to it, to the point it shapes their environnement, their social life, their own perception of things : To the boys following cults and retarded advices, to the girls following self-harming & self-sabltaging advices/trends, to the people glued to their phone while driving, while walking without being aware of their environnement and the consequences of a lack of attention.

People are also addicted to it late at night, nuking their sleep quality and worsen their health overtime.

BUT it would be a lie to say that phones hasn't improved some parts of life quality like ordering things, learning, finding answers to our questions, keep contact with our loved ones, finding tutorials, calculations etc

If you feel like your smartphone is ruining your life, never hesitate to switch it with a feature phone

Phones emit blue light,
Blue light reduces melatonin, which reduces your testosterone

Fluorescent lights also emit blue light
It all gives you the risk of eye strain, headaches, migraines, increased anxiety, fatigue, and other horrible things

Not to mention the radiation

only affects the low IQ nitwits of our world,
I have never had a problem with social media, I deleted it last year and just gave my buds my phone number because all that I used it for was texting

I dislike those short superfluous videos, I do not understand how people are entertained by such things, I have recently started a TikTok to post gardening videos, more of as a log to keep track of things since my phone storage is full

Even though he was exaggerating a bit when he said it was giving me autism, my father was right.

My phone is my biggest enemy

It wastes my time and distracts me easily while being Essential And the icing on the cake is that it maintains my other addictions wonderfully.

Do you think we can avoid all of this with the night mode on new phones, or apps to reduce blue light, or even specialized glasses?

Or all of this is just cope and I need to drastically reduce my usage?
