Considering we need to make balance b/t slop and looksmaxing

currently there are 400+ lounge threads but only
72 or something about looks improvement you dont want this forum to be like other sites

i am not saying ban lounge but make some sort of rule to balance amount of improvement threads and lounge threads
off topic keeps a forum alive

@God @Yun @Flint do you plan on doing this?
There are only so much threads u can make about improvement off topic and just general joking around and other stuff make a forum fun and give it life. For example imagine opening this forum and seeing a lot of the same threads talking about the same thing and how to improve it thats essentially how it's gonna be if there's a balance since there's much more stuff to joke about and talk about not about looks rather than just about looks. There's only a limited amount of threads u can make before u run out of threads to make about what to improve

Off topic will always be more popular then any other forum no matter the circumstances. .onl tried the same thing your suggesting and it did nothing

What do you mean by rule?

Normally enforcing a restriction of some kind means there'd be an increase of low quality content, e.g. forcing users to post a self improvement thread once a month or something would mean users would be making content on subjects they're completely ignorant on or making AI posts, which would lower the quality of these categories as a whole.

So most websites will add a reward system, e.g. reward users who want to make content but might not be motivated to otherwise. It doesn't normally increase low quality content on a massive scale- some users will to get the reward but it's to a lesser degree.

Technically these enforcements are possible on a small, controlled scale, but it wouldn't be scalable long term for the site.

But depending on what you mean by "rule" it might be worth having a discussion for.

When the Internet used to be less AI heavy, website owners used to be able to pay people to make unique content for their sites. With the raise of AI, it's normally a scam to pay someone to do that because they'll probably just use AI anyways. So since that change in the marketplace I don't actually know how to increase quality content because the website landscape as a whole has changed a lot since I was last in it ngl.
