I saw this video by Rose Anvil, been subscribed for a bit and counting Timberland is a popular brand I thought I'd share it here.

I wasn’t expecting this from timberland tbh, but that’s just how most “luxury” items are. I remember someone on YouTube who broke down expensive luxury garments to see if they’re actually worth the money, and most of them had The quality of a 4$ shirt from china.

This just further proves that you’re paying for the brand name and not the actual product.

Everything now-a-days is cheaply made, which fucking sucks. Previously you could "trust" old and established brands because they had a history of producing consistent or good quality items. Can't even do that anymore. Everything is fast fashion and slave labor, and everything is designed to shit out after a while. Then they make it hard to repair shit too. Clothes is one of the few things you could attempt repairing but then they use this cheap material and it costs more to repair than to just buy new.

In the case of shoes it's very hard to determine quality as well, counting most of the important aspects of a shoe is in the inside of it. Which is why I appreciate these tearing videos.

Timberland are overpriced piece of junk nowadays, heavily marketed.

Even Panama Jacks are at a better prices.

For boots, it's better to find old stocks who can be repaired by the local shoe makers.

As for higher quality new boots, here we have a french shoemaker called "Le Soulor" and i would like to get the Montparnasse & Paloise models, which is ~500$ each
