Cynicism

Does anybody else feel as if they have developed a cynical attitude towards other people due to social media? I observe all of the rage bait, arguments, horrendous takes, flat-out nonsense and insensitive retards and just can’t believe this is what the world has come to.

I try to remind myself that the Internet and social media is ran by big corporations and these algorithms reward this kind of behavior, and because of that when people make this shit or horrible content I'd like to believe they're trying to gain the system and not make an entire career out of being a dick. But I've also been on the Internet for a very long time and I know trolling is a classic pass time lmao.

But it's hard to say. In general I'm pretty cynical but I try to assume the best in people. I know my interactions in real life are dramatically different than the ones online.
