i have a bad overbite and i’m getting braces, im just wondering will it be noticeable from the outside like with my mouth closed? will it alter anything?

You should ask your orthodontist, people sometimes see side profile improvements after braces and if you have an overbite sometimes correcting protruding lips by not making the teeth stick out. It's usually not a negative aesthetically to get braces.

If you're asking if braces themselves will be noticeable (by pushing up against your lips, or whatever else) very mildly to not at all I imagine.
